History
Tomato Electric Inc. is a small electrical firm established by Robert Richardson (Bob) and owned by Tim Rohde Sr., a licensed master electrician. We have been providing exceptional service to the Maryland, Virginia and Metro DC Area since 1986. Our accounting office is located in Port Republic, Maryland. We have technicians from Saint Mary's County to Washington County and between, giving us the capability to serve many areas. We have a home base in Silver Spring, MD for a centralized location for our employees.
Tim Rohde took over Tomato Electric in January of 2020 and merged with Rohdeway Electric. Tim worked for Tomato Electric from 1989 until 1996, when he decided to go into business on his own. Bob was more than happy to help assist in starting Tim off in the right direction into the electrical business field. Needless to say when Bob was wanting to retire, Tim graciously accepted the offer to keep the Tomato staff and joined together to create one big happy Tomato team.
